JJ Watt has a message for Houston
JJ Watt seemed pretty pumped about the future of the Houston Texans. One Day after Watt posted a picture of him and DeMeco Ryans together in Texans’ uniforms, Ryans was announced as the new head coach in Houston.

Ryans and JJ Watt played together for the Texans in 2011. Watt recently retired from playing in the NFL this season. At 38 years old, Ryans has been coaching in the league since 2017. Watt shared a message on Twitter that should excite fans in Houston about Ryans’ hire.
“LET’S GOOOOOOO!!!!!! You want to reenergize and reignite the incredible Houston fan base, this is a hell of a start!! Cannot wait to see what Meco does. One of the best teammates & leaders I’ve ever been around. #HTown”

While the hire is exciting, the Texans still have plenty of work to do to become competitive again. They finished with the second-worst record during the 2022 season and are currently slotted to pick second in the 2023 draft.
However, next season will be exciting to watch this Texans team grow. Ryan will start to build a new culture in Houston. The Texans should also have a young rookie quarterback to watch in the fall. This spring will be one of the more thrilling ones for Texans fans from now through the NFL Draft.
