Kliff Kingsbury back in Houston?
Kliff Kingsbury reportedly bought a one-way ticket to Thailand after he was fired from the Arizona Cardinals after the season. One open job might have brought him back to the states.
According to Dan Graziano with EPSN, Kingsbury is meeting with the Texans Friday about a job with the Houston Texans. Per multiple reports, Kingsbury is interviewing for the offensive coordinator vacancy.
Per sources, former Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury is in Houston today, speaking to the Texans about a job on DeMeco Ryans’ coaching staff.

If hired, Kliff Kingsbury would be the second member of the 2022 Arizona Cardinals staff to be a coordinator for the 2023 Texans. The Texans are hiring Matt Burke as their defensive coordinator. Burke was on Kingsbury’s staff this past season as the Cardinals’ defensive line coach.

Kliff Kingsbury was 28-37-1 during his tenure as the Cardinals’ head coach. He signed an extension through 2027 after making the playoffs last season. But a disappointing 2023 campaign had him booted from Phoenix.
Kingsbury was the head coach of Texas Tech before the Cardinals hired him. He was 35-40 at Texas Tech. His defense struggled to elevate the program to an annual bowl contender, even as a quarterback like Patrick Mahomes was putting up Heisman-like numbers. He started his college coaching career in Houston. He served as the offensive coordinator of the Cougars and at Texas A&M.
Kliff Kingsbury would be a good hire for the Texans

Kliff Kingsbury is the perfect candidate for the Texans. While he’s been a failure so far as a head coach, Kingsbury’s offenses have succeeded. He’s improved the careers of several quarterbacks like Mahomes, Kyler Murray, Baker Mayfield, Johnny Manziel, and Case Keenum.
With Texans likely to draft a quarterback in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft, Kingsbury is the coach I’d want to have teaching Bryce Young or CJ. Stroud. DeMeco Ryans has the head coaching stuff handled.
